About Adrienne Sharee
Founder | Advocate | Survivor | IT Professional

I’m Adrienne Sharee McGowan, the founder of Adrienne Sharee Enterprise and creator of Unmask Your Strength: A Survivor’s Path to Thriving. My journey, like that of many survivors, began in silence and denial. I am a survivor of molestation and sexual assault before the age of 18. For five years, I convinced myself it was no big deal. I kept going—numbing the pain and perfecting the art of survival. But deep down, I knew there had to be more than just surviving. In 2006, before what could have been my second military deployment, my mother encouraged me to begin counseling. That one decision changed everything. God used my counselor to help me begin the healing process, and my life has never been the same. In 2009, I became a Rape Response Advocate, and for more than 15 years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside survivors during their most vulnerable moments, providing critical support within the first 72 hours after an assault. But that’s only part of my story. I’ve also worked for over 14 years in the field of Information Technology—leading projects, optimizing systems, and creating user-focused solutions. I’ve always been drawn to structure, process, and the power of technology to create meaningful change. My work in IT taught me how to design frameworks that are functional, accessible, and empowering—and those skills have translated directly into the programs I now build for survivors and the professionals who serve them. I am not a therapist or a counselor, nor do I claim that my way is the only way to healing. But I’ve combined my personal experiences, years of advocacy work, and professional expertise to create programs that fill the gaps so many survivors face. Unmask Your Strength was born out of that vision—to provide a holistic, trauma-informed path to healing that includes both the emotional and practical tools survivors need to thrive. When I started therapy, faith was never part of the conversation, even though I had deep questions about where God was during my pain. For years, I felt abandoned. But over time, I began to see that He had been there all along—even in the darkest moments. Accepting that truth became a turning point. And while I may have jokingly asked God if we could’ve just had a class instead of a calling, I now know that deep transformation requires more—it requires purpose. Healing is layered. It takes more than hope—it takes tools. That’s why I created Adrienne Sharee Enterprise—to walk with survivors on their healing journey and to equip professionals and supporters with the tools to stand beside them. We empower survivors of sexual violence through education, advocacy, and coaching. We envision a world where survivors don’t just heal—they rise, reclaim, and thrive. Our values—compassion, empowerment, resilience, education, and community—guide everything we do. You are more than what happened to you. Your story is still being written. Let’s walk this path together.
